This fabulous coach house loft, located north of Toronto on a picturesque treed lot above a garage, was designed in collaboration with Jackie Venneri of "Style it With Jackie."
Originally a basic rec room and sleeping quarters for a tween-aged son, the space required a cozy update to better serve family entertaining and provide a fun hangout for kids. The revamped loft now serves as the ideal spot for movie watching, ping pong, foosball tournaments, and more.
The existing sloped ceiling, dormer windows, and skylights set the stage for five distinct areas: a games room with a snack center, a lounge area with a TV, a bedroom, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom. The challenges included creating a cozy atmosphere within an open-concept entertainment space, incorporating private sleeping quarters with a functional walk-in closet, and updating the bathroom with minimal changes to the existing plumbing.
