PROJECT STORY
This fabulous coach house loft is located north of Toronto on a beautiful treed lot above a garage and was designed in collaboration with Jackie Venneri of "Style it With Jackie". The existing space, a combination rec room and sleeping quarters for tweenage son, was basic in nature and needed a fresh cozy update for family entertaining and kids to hangout. In short...the perfect space for movie watching, ping pong, foosball tournaments....and kid stuff! The sloped ceiling, existing dormer windows and skylights, set the stage for five spaces: games room & snack centre, lounge area with tv, bedroom, walk-in closet and bathroom. The challenges were to create a cozy atmosphere within an open concept entertainment space, incorporate private sleeping quarters with functional walk-in closet and provide new updated bathroom that minimized major changes to existing plumbing.
